This is a match for semi-auto pistols, Thursdays on Pistol Range, Saturdays on Double Action Range.  Unlimited magazines allowed, 10 rounds per magazine max. Match Fee: MSI Members $15, Non-Members $18 Participants receive 5% discount on match ammo purchased at range.   Registration opens 1 hour prior to start time, safety briefing is at 9:00 am If you have further questions or wish to be added to the list of participants, please email Matches@msimanteca.org

What you need:

The only equipment needed to participate in this match is: • a safe and functional semi-auto pistol • as many magazines as you want (any capacity) • eye & ear protection (available for purchase at MSI if needed) • a safety chamber flag (available for purchase at MSI if needed) • ammunition o Ammo is available for sale at the club subject to inventory on hand. This is a rapid fire event, not an event for beginner shooters. While participants need not be expert shooters, they should be knowledgeable and competent in the use of their firearm.

Match Proceedure:

The   match   is   a   double   elimination   match,   you   must lose twice to be eliminated. The   match   consists   of   a   steel   dueling   tree   target with equal amounts of targets on each side. The   shooters   will   fire   under   the   supervision   of   a Range Officer. Participants   will   shoot   in   pairs   until   one   participant has   cleared   all   targets   from   there   side   of   tree.   This will be repeated until there is a match winner. Firearms   will   be   brought   to   firing   position   empt, with   the   action   open   and   a   chamber   flag   inserted in the chamber end of the barrel. Loading will be done under supervision of the R/O. After    firing,    guns    will    be    cleared    at    the    firing position and checked by R/O. Guns     are     removed     from     firing     line     in     same condition as brought to firing line.
